Privacy Policy.

This policy is for Shree Bhavani Trading Corporation, Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad ("we", "us"). It covers this website and the information we keep about our customers.

You do not have to give us anything to use this website. There is no sign-up, no form to fill in and nothing to buy online.

• Visitor counter. To know how many people visit, the site counts each page view: which of our pages was opened, the name of the website that sent you (for example google.com, never the page or what you searched for), whether you are on a phone or a computer, and taps on our WhatsApp, Call, Directions and catalogue buttons. Each visitor is counted with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. The counter keeps no IP address, no browser details and no cookies. Our own staff, signed in to our billing system, are not counted. The counts are kept for 400 days.
• Security log. Like most websites, our web server keeps a security log of each request: the internet (IP) address, what the browser says about itself, the page asked for, the page you came from, and the time. We use it only to keep the site working and to find and block attacks. It is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
• WhatsApp, Call, E-mail and Directions buttons. These hand you over to WhatsApp, your phone, your e-mail app or Google Maps. We see nothing until you send it to us. What you send us there (your name, number, message, a photo or a file) reaches us through that service, and that company's own privacy policy also applies. The same goes for our Instagram and Facebook pages.
• "Send us your BOQ". This box does not upload your file. It only reads the file's name to write your WhatsApp message; the file stays on your device until you attach it in WhatsApp yourself.
• No advertising or tracking. This website carries no advertising, no Google Analytics or similar tracking, no Facebook pixel, and no maps or videos embedded from other companies. Its fonts and photographs come from our own server.

The public pages of this website set no cookies, and the visitor counter stores nothing on your device. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Our staff sign-in (for our own employees only) keeps a sign-in token, and the screen's language and light or dark setting, in the browser's storage on that device, so they stay signed in until they sign out. It is not used for tracking.

At the counter, or when you order by phone or WhatsApp, we record what we need to bill you and keep our accounts:

• your name or your firm's name, phone number, and e-mail if you give it;
• billing and delivery address, area and PIN code;
• GSTIN and state, for a GST bill;
• your bills, quotations, credit notes and deliveries;
• your payments: cash, UPI or cheque references, and any cheque that is returned;
• for trade customers, the credit days and limit we agree, and who introduced you or which plumber brought you, if you tell us;
• your firm's letterhead details, only if you ask us to print quotations on your letterhead;
• a photo of a list or a bill you send us, kept with the record it belongs to.

If you ask us for a rate, or our salesman visits your shop, we may note your name, shop name, phone, area, what you asked about and, for a shop visit, the shop's location on the map.

• To make your bill, quotation or delivery, and to receive your payment.
• Because GST and tax law require us to keep bills and accounts, and to put your GSTIN on a GST bill.
• To keep our accounts, and to send you your statement or a reminder of what is due.
• To answer your enquiries.
• Now and then, to tell customers who have bought from us about stock or rates, by phone or WhatsApp. Tell us and we will stop.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

• Our staff, each only what their work needs.
• Our chartered accountant, and the GST and income-tax authorities, as the law requires (the details of a GST bill go into our GST returns).
• Companies that run our systems for us and follow our instructions: our server is hosted by Amazon Web Services in Mumbai; backup copies are kept in Microsoft OneDrive; and when we scan a bill or a list into our system, the photo is read by Google's Gemini service, which may process it outside India.
• Anyone who has the link to a bill we send you: a bill sent as a link opens for whoever has that link. Do not forward it if you do not want others to see it; ask us and we will switch the link off.
• A court, the police or a government office, when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your information to anyone.

• Bills, payments and accounts: as long as the law requires. GST law asks for 72 months (six years) from the due date of that year's annual GST return, and longer while a tax case about that year is open. For example, the records for April 2025 to March 2026 are kept until at least 31 December 2032.
• Your customer details (name, phone, address) are kept with those records. If you ask, we will remove what the law lets us remove once no bill or amount due still needs it.
• Enquiry and visit notes: until they are no longer useful, or until you ask us to remove them.
• Website visitor counts: 400 days.
• The web server's security log: up to 30 days.
• Backup copies of our system are kept for a limited time (at present 60 days) and then replaced, so something removed may stay in a backup until then.

We sell to builders, contractors, plumbers, shops and households, and we deal with adults. This website is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

This website and our billing system are reached only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Staff sign in with their own password and each person sees only what their work needs; repeated wrong passwords are blocked. We keep backup copies so records are not lost.

No system is perfectly safe. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us:

• to see it: a summary of the personal information we keep about you, what we do with it, and who we have shared it with;
• to correct it: to correct, complete or update it;
• to erase it: we will, except what the law makes us keep (such as bills under GST law) or what is needed for an amount still due;
• to stop: to withdraw your consent where we rely on it, for example to stop calls or WhatsApp messages about our stock (this does not undo what was done before);
• to name someone who can use these rights for you if you die or are unable to;
• to complain: to us first, at the grievance contact below, and if you are not satisfied with our answer, to the Data Protection Board of India.

We may ask you to show that the information is yours before we act on a request. We aim to reply within 30 days.
